BVD Solar was founded in 2015 in response to the growing demand for clean, renewable energy. Backed by over 25 years of construction experience through our sister company, Berkshire Fence, we initially entered the solar industry through solar security fencing projects across Massachusetts starting in 2013. This opened the door to valuable relationships with leading solar equipment manufacturers, engineers, and investors.

With a strong foundation in construction and a passion for earthwork, BVD Solar began by developing turnkey solar projects—managing them from start to finish, including design, permitting, and installation.

Over time, we evolved to focus in on the civil components of solar projects, where our expertise in site preparation, grading, and infrastructure allows us to deliver high-quality results. At our core, we remain committed to helping customers access the environmental and financial benefits of solar energy through reliable, efficient solutions grounded in decades of construction know-how.
